Primary membership 

Primary Members pay for all units owned and/or managed within the geographic jurisdiction held by the Association through the National Apartment Association charter. GDAA counties include Allen, Auglaize, Butler, Clark, Darke, Greene, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, and Warren.

All GDAA memberships follow the calendar year (January 1st - December 31st). All memberships expire on December 31st, regardless of when you join. If you join anytime between February - November you will pay the full 12-month dues price upon applying for membership. Come renewal on January 1st the following year, your invoice will be pro-rated for the amount of time you were a member in your first year of membership.  

Primary Members joining or renewing dues while under construction shall pay dues on the total number of units approved by their county building department (certificate of occupancy) upon application or renewal of membership to the Association.  

2025 Dues structure

$3.34 per unit up to 1000 units, with a minimum of $280.00.                                               

Over 1000 units dues are $3,340.00 plus $.54 for each unit over 1000 units.

One time Application fee of $50.00, and dues are required at the time of application submission.

GDAA has Signature Events that provide networking with industry professionals and create valuable new business alliances. These annual events are a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals within the industry, share ideas, and build new relationships. Education & Professional Development

GDAA promotes industry professionalism through programs designed for all multi-family industry personnel. We provide opportunities for professional growth and development through education and hands-on training. 

We offer national designation programs from the National Apartment Association:

Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), and Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT). In addition, we offer EPA608 Certification, hands-on maintenance workshops, fair housing, leasing, marketing, personal development, management, and more.

Legislative Advocacy 

Make sure your voice is heard.  GDAA assures your voice is heard, advocating for the multifamily housing industry at the local, state, and national levels.  

Career Center

Members have access to our Career Center at discounted member prices. Our career center is powered by Web Scribble, one of the nation's leading career center providers, and because they partner with so many apartment associations in the region and across the country, the pool of applicants is second to none!

GDAA Rent Foundation

The GDAA Rent Foundation is a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization. The Foundation provides rental assistance to member residents that are unable to pay their rent due to illness, family tragedy, or unfortunate circumstances, in some cases preventing homelessness. In addition, all members can take advantage of Group Workers’ Compensation Program, and NAA's health insurance.
