membership benefits

Primary members demonstrate a strong commitment to the rental housing industry. This group includes apartment owners, property management companies, and individual investors in multi-family housing. Membership is company-wide, meaning all employees of the primary company, as well as staff members at apartment communities, receive individual account profiles. These profiles provide full access to the GDAA website, including upcoming event emails, legislative updates, education course tracking, member pricing, and the online member directory, which lists all Supplier Partners and their business categories.

Management Companies (Primary Members) pay for all units owned and/or managed within the geographic jurisdiction held by the Association through the National Apartment Association charter. GDAA counties include Allen, Auglaize, Butler, Clark, Darke, Greene, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, and Warren.

All GDAA memberships follow the calendar year (January 1st - December 31st). All memberships expire on December 31st, regardless of when you join. If you join anytime between February - November you will pay the full 12-month dues price upon applying for membership. Come renewal on January 1st the following year, your invoice will be pro-rated for the amount of time you were a member in your first year of membership. 

Supplier Partners show strong loyalty to the apartment industry by offering products and services to apartment communities and owner/management companies. Membership is company-wide, allowing all employees of the company to have individual account profiles on the GDAA website. These profiles grant access to upcoming event emails, member pricing for events, advertising and sponsorship opportunities, the ability to upload their logo and social media links, and access to the online member directory, which includes a list of all Primary members.

Affiliate Group memberships shall be available to any recognized organization, association, or group that has an interest in housing or community association that represents owners of condominiums. Membership is granted in the name of the organization, association, or group, not the management company if there is one. Educational programs will be made available to Affiliate members for which officers
and/or board members of the Affiliate member group will pay member fees, all others within the Affiliate member group will pay non-member fees.
