The Intersection of Fair Housing and the Pandemic
With the ever-changing housing climate, it is more important than ever to be informed on all things Fair Housing. This course will review fair housing basics, and other important trends in fair housing affecting us today.
Other important parts of the course will give information on recent guidance from HUD on:
- Compliance with the Violence Against Women Act and HUD’s guidance on serving women who are victims of domestic violence and/or sexual harassment.
- Serving people with a criminal history in a manner consistent with HUD’s mandate to conduct individual assessments of all applicants
- Compliance with the 2016 Anit-Harassment regulation including some best practices to deal with tenant-on-tenant harassment
This seminar provides all attendees with (3) Continuing Education Credits.
"No cancellations or refunds accepted within 2 days of the course/event. No-shows will be billed” This policy is in effect unless the public health situation dictates otherwise. If the event has to be postponed or canceled a credit will be issued and applied to the next attended event or seminar.

About the Instructor
John Zimmerman is the Vice President of the Miami Valley Fair Housing Center, Inc., in Dayton, Ohio. He is a Fair Housing Instructor certified by the Ohio Division of Real Estate to conduct classes providing continuing education credits for REALTORS® and appraisers and NAA National Designations. John has a Bachelor’s degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
This is a hybrid class- you will choose how you would like to attend through the ticket you purchase. We will practice responsible in-person protocols and the Event Center will be set up for social distance seating.
